Wreaths Across America Day
Linwood Cemetery, Columbus Georgia

The Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers extends our heartfelt gratitude to Retired Colonel Andrew Redmond, Jane Brady-Historical Director of Linwood Cemetery, the Kendrick High School ROTC Color Guard, and the dedicated volunteers who joined us for this year’s Wreaths Across America ceremony.

Your support in honoring our Veterans by laying wreaths on their graves is a testament to the spirit of remembrance and respect that defines our community. Together, we ensure that the sacrifices of these heroes are never forgotten.

Thank you for standing with us in this meaningful tribute.

OPERATION HOLIDAY SALUTE

The Georgia American Gold Star Mothers are proud to support Operation Holiday Salute, an annual campaign spearheaded by our national organization in partnership with Veterans Last Patrol. This meaningful initiative ensures that Veterans in hospice care receive heartfelt Christmas cards, reminding them that their sacrifices and service are never forgotten.

This year, our Georgia Chapters and Department came together to sign and collect an incredible 2,975 cards, under the outstanding leadership of our Community Service Chair, Sally Dixon. Through organized card-signing luncheons and the generosity of our community, we’ve helped spread holiday cheer and gratitude to Veterans during their most vulnerable moments.

These cards have been sent to our national organization, which will coordinate their delivery with Veterans Last Patrol to hospice facilities across the country.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the spirit of giving and honoring our Veterans. â€‹

Atlanta Veterans Day Parade

Georgia American Gold Star Mothers had the privilege of participating in the Atlanta Veterans Day Parade, a memorable experience made even more special by the support of the Peachtree Cadillac Club. Members of the club drove us through the parade in classic Cadillacs, each of whom showed us incredible kindness and respect. These dedicated drivers were generous with their time and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices of our loved ones and our families.

It was truly an honor to be part of this event, where we could come together with the community to recognize and celebrate our Veterans. Through our participation, we hoped to show our deep appreciation and respect for those who have served and continue to serve our country. We are grateful to everyone who made this experience possible and to the Peachtree Cadillac Club for their generosity and support.
