We are delighted to welcome you to the official website of the Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers. We are a membership of Gold Star Mothers of Fallen Heroes from all branches of service. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to volunteering our services to the Veteran, Active Duty, and Gold Star communities in honor of our sons and daughters. Our membership honors all manner of deaths and all who raised their right hand to serve this great nation are heroes.
We also welcome fathers, step-fathers, siblings, and grandparents of fallen service members as associate members, joining us in our mission to honor and support the families of our heroes.

LEGACY OF LIGHT

Our Beloved Fallen Heroes
These are the faces of our beloved Fallen Heroes—
Specialist Fredrick Jenkins III (Army Airborne)
Warrant Officer 1 Chadrick George (Army)
Lance Corporal John Cagle (Marines)
Lance Corporal Jonathan Gierke (Marines)
Their stories did not end in loss. Their legacies live on through the hearts and hands of their mothers: Lisa Jenkins, Janet George-Morris, Carolyn Cagle, and Arunee Gierke, each a proud member of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers.
This is our Legacy of Light
We honor our children by how we live, how we serve, and we carry the light our children.
Memorial Day May 26, 2025
Memorial Day , we honor the brave men and women who gave everything for this country—our sons and daughters, our heroes, our hearts. For Gold Star Families, every day is Memorial Day. But today, the nation pauses with us.
We invite you to take a moment to reflect and remember with this powerful tribute by the U.S. Army’s Six-String Soldiers. 🎖️🎶
To the Fallen—we speak your names.
To their families—we stand with you.
To the nation—never forget.

Memorial Day Ceremony with Governor Kemp,
May 21, 2025

On Wednesday, May 21st, members of the Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers were honored to attend the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Georgia State Capitol.
The ceremony, hosted by Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp, was a solemn and respectful tribute to our nation’s Fallen heroes. It was a moving reminder of the cost of freedom and the deep sacrifices made by our sons and daughters.
We were grateful for the opportunity to stand in remembrance alongside Georgia’s leadership and fellow Veterans service organizations. Moments like these strengthen our shared commitment to honor, remember, and serve.
